Job Purpose

To provide field-level technical support in crop production, research trial implementation, and routine farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in land preparation, planting, irrigation, weeding, spraying, and harvesting activities.
• Support establishment and maintenance of research and commercial plots.
• Assist in data collection under supervision.
• Ensure proper handling of seeds, fertilizers, and agrochemicals.
• Maintain farm tools and equipment.
• Participate in stock-taking and basic record-keeping.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Certificate in Agriculture or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in agricultural field operations.
• Practical knowledge of crop production practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions.
• Basic computer literacy and numeracy skills.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems will be an added advantage.
