As an Eviction Paralegal Officer, you will be responsible for managing all eviction-related functions associated with foreclosed properties. Your duties will include preparing court documents, requesting checks for filing fees, understanding court procedures, and tracking the status of court proceedings.

  • Provide paralegal support to attorneys and the Eviction Department.
  • Prepare, serve, and monitor legal notices.
  • Prepare, file, and serve summons and complaints.
  • Monitor cases.
  • Monitor hearing schedules.
  • Communicate with clients regarding litigation matters via email and phone.
  • Verify property addresses using foreclosure documents.
  • Review lease ledgers and prepare rent demands.
  • Oversee incoming phone calls from Defendants, Clients, County Courts, and County Sheriffs.
  • Must be proficient in software tools, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Identifies and solves issues in a timely manner.
  • Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary.
  • Must be extremely organized and able to multi-task.
  • Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance.
  • Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and acts.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Firm’s vision, mission, and core values.
  • Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a fast pace and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Develops professional relationships and builds rapport with others.
  • Overall, good work ethics and willingness to adapt to change.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Paralegal Studies, or related field.
  • Certification as a paralegal preferred.
  • Legal experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of the eviction process is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate with clerks, judges, and attorneys.
  • Must understand/learn eviction law and local jurisdiction requirements.
  • Support clients in the US.
