About Us
Keda (Kenya) Ceramics Company Ltd is the largest ceramic tile manufacturer in Kenya, known for delivering high-quality ceramic tiles to both local and regional markets. Our state-of-the-art factory is located along Namanga Road, just 6 km from Kajiado town.
As part of our continued commitment to sustainable operations, we are seeking to recruit a highly qualified and experienced ESG Manager to spearhead and oversee our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy and implementation.
Position Overview
The ESG Manager will lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the company’s sustainability and ESG initiatives. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to drive ESG performance, ensure compliance, and promote responsible corporate behavior aligned with global best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive ESG and sustainability strategies aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, analyze, and report ESG performance metrics and sustainability data.
- Provide expert advice and insights to senior management on ESG risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Coordinate and manage stakeholder engagement, including community relations, regulators, and industry partners.
- Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities, proposing actionable solutions.
- Develop and roll out internal ESG frameworks, policies, procedures, and training modules.
- Organize employee workshops and training sessions on ESG and sustainability practices.
- Stay updated with local and international ESG standards, trends, and compliance obligations.
- Ensure the company meets all ESG-related legal, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Support initiatives that enhance corporate social responsibility and company culture.
- Carry out additional ESG-related duties as assigned by the leadership team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Corporate Governance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in ESG management within a consultancy, investment firm, infrastructure developer, or similar environment.
- Proven ability to monitor ESG compliance and enforce international ESG standards across multiple countries or infrastructure projects.
- Professional ESG certifications (local or international) or relevant coursework required.
- Experience working in emerging markets, particularly within Africa, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in renewable energy or solar power sectors will be considered a plus.
- Strong track record of professional excellence and adherence to workplace ethics and regulations.
