Roles/Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide an independent and objective evaluation of an organization’s environmental performance
- To ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in environmental management systems.
- To verify that sustainable practices and policies are being effectively implemented.
- To act as a liaison between regulatory authorities, management, and stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Collect and review background information, permits, and documentation before audits. Conducting Audits
- Evaluate compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and standards.
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
- Good communication and people skills.
- A passion for environmental conservation and sustainability
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and evaluation skills to interpret data and identify risks.
- Maintaining honesty, transparency, and impartiality during assessments.
