Driver (Pick-Up) Job

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate a pick-up vehicle to transport food items and water supplies to designated delivery points.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery in accordance with the assigned schedule.
• Maintain delivery logs and records, including time of delivery, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Assist with loading and unloading of items to and from the vehicle.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness, safety, and security at all times.
• Monitor stock levels of water supplies and coordinate timely replenishments.
• Follow all company safety and operational procedures during deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and delivery recipients.
• Support other logistical duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid Kenyan driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role
• Familiarity with Nairobi routes, especially Karen and surrounding areas
• Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
• Physically fit and able to handle light to moderate lifting
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform simple maintenance tasks
