AfriCert Limited is an ISO 17065-accredited Certifying Body of longstanding with approval to undertake quality assurance services for market-driven sustainability schemes and headquartered in Nairobi, 1st Floor, Plaza 2000, Mombasa Road but with affiliate companies in Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, and Rwanda.
The Driver will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services in support of AfriCert’s operations. This role requires a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion, particularly in facilitating transport for senior executives. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, time-conscious, detail-oriented, dependable, and adaptable to varying schedules and assignments.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive authorized personnel to various destinations as required.
- Ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Maintain assigned vehicles in clean and good working condition
- Ensure regular maintenance, servicing, and timely repairs of vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle insurance, inspection, and licensing renewals.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and travel schedules.
- Perform messenger duties as assigned, including delivering packages and official documents.
- Adhere to traffic laws, road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Maintain utmost discretion, professionalism, and courtesy, at all times.
- Promptly report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to management.
- Perform any other lawful duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Valid Kenyan Driving License with clean driving record.
- Minimum KCSE certificate or equivalent, certification in motor vehicle mechanics or auto engineering will be an added advantage.
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
- At least 5–10 years of experience driving C-suite professionals in either the private or public sector.
- National Youth Service (NYS) training or related training lasting six months or longer.
- Good geographical knowledge of Nairobi and surrounding areas.
