Director — Open, Distance & e-Learning at Umma University

Job Purpose

The Director of Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) shall provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership in the development, coordination, delivery, and quality assurance of open, distance, and e-learning programmes. The position is responsible for expanding access to quality education through innovative digital learning models in line with the University’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.

Qualifications Academic Qualifications:

• Earned Master’s in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional
• Design, or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Professional Experience:

• At least 4 years of teaching, research, or academic administration experience in higher education.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in open, distance, or elearning programme management.
• Proven experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and digital learning systems.
• Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and change management skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in e-learning technologies and instructional design.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
• Strong financial, project management, and analytical skills.
