Summary:

Our client is a continental leadership, training, consultancy and digital solutions institution working with professionals and organisations across Africa. They are looking to hire a Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for planning, executing and improving digital marketing campaigns that generate leads, increase visibility, strengthen brand positioning and support business growth across training, consultancy and software products. The ideal candidate should be able to use digital platforms to attract the right audiences, convert interest into enquiries and support the sales team with high-quality, well-targeted leads.

Digital Marketing Strategy and Campaign Planning

  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies that support the institution’s growth in training, consultancy and digital solutions across African markets.

Paid Advertising and Audience Targeting

  • Plan, run and optimise paid campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google and other relevant channels using proper targeting, budgeting and performance tracking.

Lead Generation and Conversion Support

  • Design campaigns that generate quality leads, track enquiries, support follow-up processes and work with the sales team to improve conversion from digital campaigns.

Content Creation and Brand Storytelling

  • Create engaging digital content, including posts, short videos, posters, captions, email content, testimonials, campaign messages and promotional materials that communicate the institution’s value clearly.

Social Media Management

  • Manage the institution’s social media platforms by planning content calendars, posting consistently, engaging audiences, responding to comments and improving community growth.

Analytics and Performance Reporting

  • Track campaign performance using analytics tools and prepare clear reports on reach, engagement, leads, conversions, cost per lead, campaign performance and return on marketing spend.

Website, SEO and Landing Page Support

  • Support website updates, landing page optimisation, search engine visibility and online user experience to improve lead capture and campaign effectiveness.

Email Marketing and Lead Nurturing

  • Support email campaigns, WhatsApp broadcasts, lead nurturing sequences and follow-up communication that move prospects from interest to registration, purchase or consultation

Market Research and Competitor Monitoring

  • Monitor trends, competitors, audience behaviour, campaign performance and emerging digital opportunities to improve the institution’s positioning across different markets.

Collaboration with Sales and Product Teams

  • Work closely with the business development, training, consultancy and digital solutions teams to align digital campaigns with current business priorities and revenue targets.
  • A degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communication, Business, IT, Public Relations, Media Studies or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in digital marketing, social media management, paid advertising, content creation, campaign management or online lead generation.
  • Practical knowledge of audience targeting, campaign objectives, ad placement, budgeting, retargeting, lead forms, landing pages and conversion tracking.
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, TikTok, WhatsApp Business and email marketing tools.
  • Ability to use analytics to measure campaign performance, identify what is working and recommend practical improvements.
  • Good understanding of key digital marketing metrics such as reach, impressions, engagement, click-through rate, cost per lead, conversion rate, return on ad spend and customer acquisition cost.
  • Experience creating and managing paid campaigns through tools such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager or similar platforms.
  • Ability to create persuasive content, write strong captions, design basic visuals, edit short videos and package messages for different audiences.
  • Familiarity with Canva, basic video editing tools, email marketing platforms, CRM systems, Google Analytics, website dashboards or similar digital tools.
  • Understanding of SEO, landing page optimisation, lead magnets, sales funnels, retargeting, A/B testing and campaign optimisation.
  • Ability to segment audiences by country, profession, sector, interest, behaviour, job title, organisation type and stage in the buying journey.
  • Experience marketing training programmes, consultancy services, software products, professional courses or institutional services will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with sales teams to ensure that digital campaigns produce leads that can be followed up and converted into revenue.
  • Strong creativity, commercial awareness, attention to detail, consistency, discipline and ability to work with targets.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the institution’s professionally across digital platforms.
