We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Restaurant Cost and Stock Controller to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the financial aspects of our restaurant operations, including cost control, inventory management, and loss control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant cost and stock control practices, accounting practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and managers, to ensure efficient and effective cost and stock control operations.

Responsibilities:

• Implement cost control measures to monitor and minimize food and beverage costs.
• Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with kitchen and baristas to ensure timely and cost-effective requisition of ingredients and materials.
• Conduct daily inventory audits and stock take to reconcile physical stock with system records and identify discrepancies.
• Analyze sales trends and menu performance to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
• Prepare regular reports on food and beverage costs, inventory performance, and variances for management review.
• Work closely with the kitchen and food and beverage teams to streamline processes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory management, cost control, and loss management.
• Train and mentor staff on inventory management best practices and cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and restaurant policies related to inventory and cost management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cost and Stock Controller, or similar role in the restaurant industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations and cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
