Role Summary

IRES is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Trainer in Vehicle Maintenance Management to design and deliver high-impact training programs targeting Automotive Works Superintendents and fleet management professionals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering practical, engaging, and resultsdriven training, particularly within fleet operations, workshop management, and ground support equipment (GSE) environments, including aviation-related contexts.

The trainer will also continuously refine training approaches to maximize participant engagement, satisfaction, and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive training materials aligned with industry best practices in vehicle and fleet maintenance.
• Deliver engaging, practical, and interactive training sessions (physical and virtual).

Facilitate hands-on sessions in:

• Vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Maintenance planning and scheduling
• Workshop operations and supervision
• Assess participant performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Integrate real-world case studies and industry scenarios into training delivery.

Stay updated on emerging trends in:

• Fleet management systems
• Predictive maintenance technologies
• Hybrid and electric vehicles

Support business development through:

• Technical input in proposals
• Webinars and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Development of training content and thought leadership materials

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field
• A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 7–10 years of practical experience in:
• Vehicle or fleet maintenance
• Workshop operations and supervision
• At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or management role.

Demonstrated experience in:

• Fleet maintenance systems.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Experience in aviation, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), or large fleet operations is highly desirable.
• Training & Facilitation Experience.
• Proven experience as a trainer, facilitator, or technical instructor.
• Certification in Training of Trainers (ToT) is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of adult learning methodologies.

Technical Competencies

Proficiency in:

• Maintenance planning and scheduling systems
• Vehicle diagnostics tools (e.g., OBD-II, scan tools)
• Fleet management systems and telematics
• Spare parts and inventory management

Knowledge of:

• Safety, health, and environmental (HSE) standards
• Emerging automotive technologies (EVs, AI, IoT applications)

Mode of Engagement

• Successful candidates will be engaged as external consultant trainers on a need basis.
