Consultancy to Develop E-Learning Modules on Diversion and Plea Bargaining Job. NGO Jobs in Kenya

  • Two (2) comprehensive, text-based e-learning modules that incorporate real case scenarios, videos, and illustrations developed and submitted, as follows: –
  • Module 1: Prosecutorial approaches, roles, and responsibilities for effective implementation of Diversion, –
  • Module Prosecutorial approaches, roles, and responsibilities for effective implementation of Plea Bargaining;
  • A two-day validation session for the two (2) e-learning modules on Diversion and Plea Bargaining, facilitated;
  • The final, comprehensive, and validated e-learning modules on Diversion and Plea Bargaining, submitted;
  • A two-day capacity-building session for instructors and the Prosecution Training Institute team responsible for managing and delivering the e-learning modules, conducted.

Expected duration

01 September – 31 October 2025

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, social sciences, criminology, or a related field is required.
  • A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. –
  • At least seven (07) years of relevant work experience in training and development of training modules in the field of criminal justice reform, human rights and/or rule of law is required. –
  • Experience in implementation of alternatives to prosecution and trial in a commonwealth jurisdiction is desirable.
  • – Knowledge of the criminal justice sector in Kenya is desirable.
  • – Experience of providing technical advice to multi-disciplinary teams in government or national stakeholders or international organizations is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of other United Nations Secretariat languages is an advantage.
