Communication Officer III Job Meru National Polytechnic

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

  • Gathering information on topical issues within the Polytechnic
  • Verifying authenticity, editing and dispatching information for dissemination to the public and media under the guidance of senior officer.
  • Maintain and update Polytechnic websites and social media accounts.
  • Assist in producing promotional materials including brochures, posters and banners
  • Support internal communication effort to keep staff informed and engaged.
  • Maintain a digital archive of communication materials and media coverage.
  • Ensure consistency in the Polytechnic brandings, voice and messaging.
  • Any other duty assigned by an authorized person.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Journalism or Public Relations from a recognized
  • Institution;
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
  • Certificate in computer application skills.
