Key Responsibilities
- Advise, encourage, support and facilitate student learning through placement programs.
- Coordinate, guide and support the students during their clinical placement.
- Assist in the development and delivery of orientation program for students.
- Carry out clinical learning environment audits in partnership with the Hospital.
- Assist the relevant managers, and staff members in ensuring that students are assigned to patient
- care as appropriate
- Encourage and promote the students’ application of theoretical knowledge to clinical practice in the clinical areas
- Precept and mentor students in the clinical areas
- Ensure the assessment process is carried out with fairness, accuracy, and consistency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Clinical Medicine & Surgery , Higher Diploma and Masters degree will be an added advantage
- Registration with the relevant regulatory body
- Valid practice license.
- A minimum of four( 4) years experience in clinical set up.
