Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient clinical care within area of specialization (e.g. obstetrics, anesthesia, surgery or neonatal care)
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care, treatments, and outcomes in hospital systems
- Develop, review, and implement clinical protocols aligned with hospital and global standards
- Support development of local trainers and sustainable in-country training systems
- Facilitate simulation-based and team-based learning experiences
- Develop and deliver clinical training curricula for Kijabe Hospital staff and trainees
- Support improvement of maternal and surgical care pathways from antenatal care through postoperative management
- Strengthen technical and non-technical skills including emergency obstetric care, surgical safety , crisis resource management , team communication and leadership
- Deliver structured maternal and surgical training programs to multidisciplinary teams in LMIC settings
- Mentor clinical leaders to improve team performance and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine & Surgery with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery, Anesthesia, Pediatrics/Neonatology, or related field
- Additional training in medical education, simulation, or global health is an added advantage
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including obstetric or surgical emergency care
- Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching and/or simulation-based education
- Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
- Valid practicing license
