Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, one must have:

  • Be a Citizen of Kenya;
  • Be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Records Management or in any of the Social Sciences from a recognized institution;
  • Served in the grade of Senior Records Management Officer or in a relevant and comparable position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Attended a Senior Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution; and
  • Demonstrated professional competence and administrative ability in handling records management work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervision of various registries;
  • Planning appropriate office accommodation for registries; and
  • Initiating appraisal and disposal of files, documents and other records in registries.

The completed KCPSB 2 Employment form, together with certified copies of applicant’s National Identity Card, professional certificates, academic certificates and transcripts, should be submitted to the Kitui County Public Service Board jobs portal on or before Wednesday 4th February, 2026.
