As we embark on a new chapter of expansion and transformation, we seek a visionary Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to spearhead academic excellence, uphold high standards, and inspire our learners and staff to achieve their God-given potential.
Location: Kisii
The Role
The CAO will be the strategic leader of all academic programs, responsible for ensuring that teaching, learning, assessment, and curriculum implementation meet global benchmarks while remaining anchored in Kingdom principles. The CAO will work closely with the heads of schools, deputies, and quality assurance teams to deliver exceptional outcomes across both the CBC and Cambridge schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the academic vision, strategy, and policies for both curricula, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission, values, and excellence standards.
- Oversee curriculum design, implementation, review, and continuous improvement.
- Drive teacher professional development, instructional coaching, and performance management to ensure world-class teaching quality.
- Champion the integration of technology, innovation, and life skills in learning.
- Set high expectations for learner achievement, track academic performance, and lead interventions for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education and Cambridge International requirements.
- Mentor and build capacity in school leaders to strengthen academic leadership at all levels.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board on strategic growth and program expansion.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in senior academic leadership, preferably with exposure to both CBC and Cambridge curricula.
- Proven track record of raising academic standards and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of 21st-century education trends, assessment practices, and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a servant-leadership mindset.
- Alignment with Christian values and a genuine passion for shaping young lives.
