About the Role

• We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef specializing in Indian cuisines to support the company’s food service operations.
• The role involves preparing authentic Indian meals, maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene, managing kitchen activities, and ensuring timely meal service.
• The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistency and excellence in food preparation and hospitality services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic Indian cuisines and other assigned meals.
• Plan menus and ensure balanced meal preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
• Monitor food stock levels and prepare shopping lists when required.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Follow food safety and health regulations at all times.
• Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Coordinate meal schedules and timely service delivery.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Education & experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
• Experience with Indian cuisines will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is required.
• Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• At least 3–5 years’ experience as a chef specializing in Indian cuisines.
• Experience in menu planning and kitchen management.
• Knowledge of vegetarian Indian dishes.

• Good knowledge of Indian spices, recipes, and food preparation techniques.
