The Cashier will manage transactions and provide excellent customer service at the point of sale.

Key duties include:

  • Process guest payments accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling cash, card, and mobile transactions.
  • Greet guests courteously, addressing inquiries and providing information on menu items or promotions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, ensuring efficient transaction workflows.
  • Verify bills and ensure accuracy before finalizing payments to avoid discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Waiters and management to resolve payment-related issues promptly.
  • Track daily sales and prepare accurate financial reports for management review.
  • Assist with guest check-ins and reservations as needed to support front-of-house operations.
  • Promote a positive and professional image of Sierra Restaurants during all guest interactions.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a related field, such as Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Service, or Business Administration, from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a fine dining restaurant, demonstrating expertise in culinary preparation (for Sauciers and Grill Chefs) or guest service (for Waiters and Cashiers).
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and management in English; proficiency in Swahili is an advantage for local engagement.
  • Aged between 25–35 years
