CAD Technician (Water & Sewer Infrastructure)
Working hours: Early Morning Shift – Australian Hours
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (Work from Office)
Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer to produce high-quality General Arrangement (GA) and construction drawings for specialised water infrastructure projects. This role goes beyond standard drafting and requires a strong understanding of water and sewer systems, with a focus on delivering practical, construction-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings for tenders and client approvals
- Develop detailed construction drawings for manufacturing and site installation
- Prepare plan views, section views, and isometric pipe layouts
- Create reinforcement and concrete layouts where applicable
- Develop pump station internal fit-out and rail details
- Prepare penetration and pipework schedules
- Update drawings based on hydraulic calculations and project requirements
- Maintain drawing registers and revision control aligned with ISO standards
- Support the development of standardised drawing templates and product designs
- Collaborate closely with hydraulic designers, project managers, and operations teams
Key Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in CAD drafting, specifically within water or sewer infrastructure
- Experience in water or sewer infrastructure drafting
- Strong understanding of pump station layouts and pressure sewer systems
- Knowledge of rising mains, concrete structures, and civil set-out principles
- Ability to interpret hydraulic design data
- Experience producing Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing sets
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Australian standards (WSA 201)
- Experience with precast concrete structures
- Exposure to mechanical fit-out detailing
- Experience with electrical and control layout integration
- Familiarity with pressure sewer design
