Business Development Officer Job. Sales & Marketing Jobs In Kenya

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The successful candidate will be report to the General Manager and will be based in Nairobi.

Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified leads through customer calls, referrals, online marketing efforts, networking, market research and field customer visits.
  • Promote and sell pest control services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster customer loyalty and long-term business partnerships.
  • Conduct on-site inspections with prospects to assess their pest control needs and recommend appropriate service plans and pricing.
  • Prepare and present professional sales proposals and quotations tailored to client needs.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.
  • Conduct regular meetings with existing clients to upsell additional services.

Skills s Competencies

  • The successful candidate must be excellent in oral and written communication with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Must be a strategic thinker, customer oriented, and ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Self- motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience (3–5 years) in business development or sales, preferably within pest control, facility management, or a related service industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based software required.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
