Job Overview:
In this role, you’ll identify and pursue new business opportunities, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company. A deep understanding of the brewing industry and strong skills in sales, networking, and negotiation are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Opportunity Identification
- Analyze industry trends, emerging markets, and competitor activities
- Identify and evaluate new client segments and market opportunities
Lead Generation & Qualification
- Develop strategies to generate and qualify high-potential leads
- Prioritize opportunities with the highest business value
Client Relationship Development
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers
- Understand client needs and deliver customized solutions
Sales Presentations & Proposals
- Prepare persuasive proposals and impactful sales presentations
- Clearly communicate value propositions and negotiate beneficial agreements
Sales Cycle Management & Target Achievement
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to client onboarding
- Consistently meet or exceed sales and revenue targets
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies
- Share market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product and service improvements
Networking & Industry Representation
- Represent the company at industry events and functions
- Expand professional networks and maintain a strong industry presence
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Track sales performance and pipeline activity using CRM systems
- Provide actionable insights and regular updates to leadership
Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to shaping the business development strategy
- Recommend approaches for market expansion and long-term growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Brewing Science, Business, or a related field (Master’s is a plus)
- 3–7 years of technical sales experience — preferably in brewing or food ingredients
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- In-depth knowledge of brewing processes, formulations, and key ingredients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to talk shop with master brewers and present to executives alike
- Analytical and strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, demos, and industry events
- Deep understanding of the brewing industry’s dynamics and competitive landscape
