Job Summary
The role Reports to the Chief Executive officer and the Group Head of Technology & Transformation. The Business Process Analyst is the strategic architect of operational excellence, tasked with bridging the gap between Business Operations (Investments, Business Development, REITs and Operations) and the Technology & Transformation (T&T) department. The holder of this role is expected to understand stakeholders’ business needs and ensure the delivery of digital and process solutions that meet those needs in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, timelines, and quality expectations. This role is responsible for driving digital transformation through the optimization of products, systems, and workflows to enhance customer value propositions. The job holder must be a high-velocity, results-oriented professional capable of translating complex business needs into agile technical solutions while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory frameworks and risk protocols.

This roles interfaces with Process Champions, Business Technology, Data Analytics, Development team, Innovation & Digital Lead, Project & Program Managers, Relevant Managers in all Departments, Risk & Finance Teams, Solution Vendors
Business Case development
- Work with stakeholders to develop cost benefit analysis including expected costs of an initiative and its anticipated benefits (both qualitative and quantitative) to support initiatives prioritisation and benefits tracking.
Proxy Product Ownership
- Working as a proxy Product Owner (PO) and represent PO in some of the standups meeting
- Understand the strategic objectives of departments and align project requirements accordingly.
- Coordinate the prioritization of backlog items, ensuring alignment with strategic value
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to resolve constraints and define trade-offs.
- Make day-to-day decisions on scope, story prioritization, and minor clarifications.
- Escalate significant blockers or decisions to the Product Owner or CEO as needed.
Process Engineering & Strategic Alignment
- End-to-End Mapping: Design and maintain comprehensive process maps, data flow diagrams, and system workflows for investment operations and fund management.
- Gap Analysis: Conduct rigorous assessments between legacy systems and emerging fintech/CRM platforms to identify friction points.
- Operational Excellence: Lead cross-functional initiatives to deliver quantifiable improvements in cost avoidance, loss reduction, and revenue enhancement.
- Reporting on Business Case Realization: Reporting on Business Case numbers post project implementation
Technical Integration & T&T Liaison
Requirements Translation: Convert high-level business needs into detailed functional specifications for the T&T team, ensuring technology builds align with operational reality. This will include:
- Functional AND non-functional requirements
- Workshop facilitation and sprint planning
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- UI/UX collaboration for digital journey design
- System Implementation: Drive the integration of core fund administration systems, CRM, and digital portals, ensuring a “single source of truth” for data governance.
- UAT & Quality Assurance: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance Processes, including test case creation and execution and defect resolution, to ensure systems are “fit for purpose” before rollout.
Innovation & Intelligent Automation
- Automation Discovery: Identify high-impact opportunities for Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI, and automated workflow tools to eliminate manual intervention.
- Scalability: Partner with Product and Compliance teams to design scalable system architectures that grow with the business’s AUM (Assets Under Management).
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Regulatory Guardrails: Ensure all re-engineered processes comply with AML, KYC, and Data Protection regulations.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and process evidence for internal/external audits and risk assessments.
Change Management
- Internal Consultancy: Serve as the subject matter expert on process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), coaching process owners and leadership.
- Influence & Facilitation: Facilitate “group think” sessions to break down silos between Investments and Business Development, acting as a catalyst for a continuous improvement culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in Information Systems or business-related field or equivalent professional work experience.
- Business Analysts certification : CBAP/CCBA,
- Project Management certification, Business process reengineering/improvements certification Lean Six Sigma Green Belt , TQM, or Kaizen
- Agile certification
