Job Summary

MedPrime Training College is seeking a skilled and experienced Perioperative Trainer to join our academic team. The Perioperative Trainer will be responsible for delivering specialized training, mentoring students, and supporting their development in perioperative nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Instruction:

• Deliver comprehensive and interactive lessons on perioperative nursing practices.
• Utilize advanced teaching methods, including simulations and practical demonstrations, to enhance student learning.

Curriculum Development:

• Collaborate in the design and enhancement of the perioperative nursing curriculum.
• Ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and incorporates current best practices.

Clinical Training and Supervision:

• Supervise students during clinical rotations to provide hands-on perioperative experience.
• Offer constructive feedback to enhance their clinical skills and confidence.

Mentorship and Support:

• Mentor students on academic and career growth, particularly in perioperative care.
• Address individual student challenges to foster their success.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress effectively.
• Maintain precise records of student performance and provide actionable feedback.

Professional Standards and Compliance:

• Ensure teaching practices adhere to regulatory and perioperative nursing standards.
• Prepare required documentation for audits, inspections, and accreditations.

Continual Professional Development:

• Keep abreast of trends and advancements in perioperative nursing and education.
• Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Licensure: Active registration with NCK

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a perioperative nursing role.
• Prior experience in teaching or training within a healthcare or academic setting is an added advantage.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using technology for teaching purposes.
