Breeding Technicians Job Kingrich Farm
About Us
Kingrich Farm is a modern, fully automated 500,000-layer poultry farm located in Kajiado County, Kenya. We are seeking four experienced Breeding Technicians to join our production team and play a key role in managing poultry production, flock health, biosecurity, and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Flock Management: Manage daily poultry production, flock health, daily feeding, and culling of weak birds.
- Environmental & System Checks: Monitor environmental conditions (temp, ventilation) and inspect automated feeding, water, and manure removal systems.
- Biosecurity: Strictly enforce farm biosecurity measures, including personnel and vehicle disinfection.
- Inventory & Records: Maintain accurate production records, vaccination logs, and manage the use of feed, veterinary drugs, and vaccines.
- Supervision: Direct and supervise farm attendants on poultry management and biosecurity procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry, Livestock Production, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of practical experience in large-scale commercial layer farming.
- Skills: Hands-on experience with full poultry production cycles, disease prevention, and automated poultry equipment. Experience on large-scale automated farms (100k+ birds) or with Chinese-managed agricultural enterprises is a major plus.
- Traits: Strong communication, leadership, and record-keeping skills.
