Billing Engineer Job

To manage quantity surveying and billing functions for infrastructure development. The role involves preparation and verification of bills, cost estimation, BOQs, contract administration, and cost monitoring, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.

  • Prepare and verify interim and final bills submitted by contractors as per contract terms.
  • Preparation and review of BOQs, rate analysis, and cost estimates for infrastructure works.
  • Coordinate with PMC team and contractors to validate measurements and physical progress.
  • Assist in contract management including variations, change orders, and claims.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cost deviations.
  • Maintain proper documentation of measurements, billing records, and approvals.
  • Support procurement and tendering processes with quantity and cost inputs.
  • Liaise with design team, contractors, and internal departments for billing-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, statutory, and internal financial procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
  • 8–10 years of experience in large infrastructure projects (industrial parks, roads, utilities, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of local construction practices, regulations, and contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Power point, and quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, CostX) preferred.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of handling site-based responsibilities independently.
