Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze tender documents, RFPs, RFQs, and grant opportunities.
- Write clear, compelling, and compliant bid proposals and tender responses.
- Develop proposal content including executive summaries, technical approaches, and case studies.
- Draft grant applications for funding opportunities from foundations, donors, and government agencies.
- Create bid templates, standard responses, and reusable content libraries.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to gather technical information and input.
- Ensure all submissions meet formatting, word count, and compliance requirements.
- Develop project timelines, work plans, and implementation schedules for proposals.
- Write organizational capability statements and company profiles.
- Create budget narratives and justifications to support financial proposals.
- Proofread and edit proposals for clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness.
- Track bid submission deadlines and manage proposal timelines.
- Maintain databases of past proposals, win/loss records, and reusable content.
- Research client organizations, their needs, and competitive landscape.
- Develop CVs and biographical statements for key personnel in proposals.
- Assist with presentation materials and interview preparations for shortlisted bids.
- Ensure brand consistency and professional presentation across all submissions.
- Support post-submission activities including clarifications and negotiations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bid writing, proposal development, or grant writing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, English, International Development, or related field.
- Proven track record of successful bid and proposal submissions.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to write persuasively and tailor content to different audiences.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear language.
