Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Citizen of Kenya;
  • Served in the grade of Assistant Quantity Surveyor II or comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for at least three (3) years;
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Building Economics/Quantity Surveying or its equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Be a registered Graduate member of either the Architectural Association of Kenya or the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya; and
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, monthly valuations on site and site re- measurements; and
  • Preparation of variation orders and final accounts.

The completed KCPSB 2 Employment form, together with certified copies of applicant’s National Identity Card, professional certificates, academic certificates and transcripts, should be submitted to the Kitui County Public Service Board jobs portal on or before Wednesday 4th February, 2026.
