Zain Pharma is seeking a highly qualified, compliance-driven, and results-oriented Assistant Production Manager to lead our
overall manufacturing activities and drive operational excellence.
Role Overview
Reporting To: General Manager
Location: Manufacturing Facility
Department: Production/Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership Oversee and manage overall pharmaceutical production activities to ensure maximum output and throughput.
- Optimize equipment capacity and manage proper line balancing from raw materials to finished products.
- Formulate and manage production budgets, consumables, and strict waste control measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute production plans that meet sales requirements.
- Extend full cooperation to other functional departments to ensure seamless system implementation.
- Documentation & Process Control Prepare, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare Master Formula Records (MFR), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), and Batch Packaging Records (BPR), ensuring strict online, real-time documentation.
- Develop and implement robust production documentation policies, processes, and procedures.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements across all manufacturing
- Ensure full implementation of company rules, regulations, policies, and procedural guidelines. sections.
- Lead internal audits, participate in external regulatory audits, and coordinate the successful completion of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Investigate process deviations and market complaints, and author detailed investigation reports.
- Guarantee total product compliance with set quality standards and specifications.
- Facility & Resource Management Monitor the production environment to ensure immaculate cleaning and sanitation.
- Oversee proper maintenance of production machinery.
- Verify the availability of adequate raw materials and optimal manpower allocations.
- Team Training & Development Develop and conduct comprehensive training programs on SOPs and technical skills for production personnel.
- Motivate, mentor, and evaluate departmental staff to achieve the highest levels of performance.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience:
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of cGMP, TGA, or EU GMP manufacturing guidelines.
- Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities. Proficiency with Enterprise
Skills:
- Resource Planning (ERP) systems is highly preferred.
