Assistant Officer Risk Job
Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for assisting in the assessment of significant risks that the CPF Group and its key clients face. It includes conducting risk assessments and advisories in accordance with the Group’s Risk Management Policies and providing appropriate recommendations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing risk strategies across the customer lifecycle for CPF and its subsidiaries, and integrate customer-level risk scores into reactive decision points.
- Keep up to date with risk management directives, regulations, technical standards, and rules governing financial institutions such as CPF, and support their ongoing implementation and compliance.
- Support the compilation of company-wide risk summaries for presentation to Senior Management and the Board Audit Committee.
- Participate in conducting risk management awareness initiatives across the organization to promote risk appreciation and strengthen the overall risk culture.
- Assist in executing timely risk assessment processes—either in person or through risk experts—ensuring completion within agreed timelines.
- Support the preparation of templates and other documentation related to risk assessments, align team members with the documentation, and submit materials for review by senior management.
- Help identify and recognize threats to CPF’s reputation, operational efficiency, and financial stability, and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
- Assist in documenting risk analysis reports for stakeholders including board members, C-suite executives, and employees, and ensure secure storage of these documents.
- Help analyze metrics and operational data (e.g., cash flow, inventory, breakage, employee activity) to identify gaps and detect potential fraudulent activity within CPF or its subsidiaries.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Diploma in Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role within a comparable organization or function.
