Purpose of the role

Vuka is reshaping how Kenyans invest in Real Estate. Vuka is Kenya’s first Investment platform, enabling individuals to invest in Secure, Affordable, Regulated, Resilient, and Profitable real estate. Through Vuka, you can invest in Qwetu Student Hostels without the hassle of direct ownership by purchasing shares in the Acorn Student Accommodation Income Real Estate Investment Trust.

As an Assistant Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation and business growth. You’ll work closely with the Growth Manager and cross-functional teams to create compelling campaigns, manage digital marketing efforts, and enhance the customer journey for Vuka’s retail investors.

This role requires a mix of creativity, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making to ensure our marketing efforts attract, convert, and retain clients while strengthening Vuka’s position as a leading real estate investment platform.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive engagement and lead generation.
  • Work with internal teams to create compelling content and messaging aligned with brand positioning.
  • Manage digital marketing initiatives & channels, including but not limited to social media, email marketing, SEO, SEM to drive lead generation.
  • Identify new marketing opportunities and test innovative approaches to member growth

Brand Growth & Content Development

  • Support storytelling efforts that highlight Vuka’s mission and value proposition.
  • Assist in developing thought leadership content for blogs, newsletters, and social media.
  • Work with our designers and content creators to ensure we have a cohesive brand messaging.
  • Leverage insights from customer behavior to refine messaging and engagement tactics.

Community Engagement & Customer Experience

  • Collaborate with the Community team to drive meaningful interactions with Vuka’s audience.
  • Engage with retail investors through digital platforms to understand their needs and improve their experience.
  • Organize and promote events, webinars, and workshops that provide financial education and investment insights.

Performance Tracking & Optimization

  • Analyze key marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Optimize marketing initiatives based on data-driven insights.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Business Management, Communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing with a specialized focus on digital marketing
  • Strong understanding of content marketing, social media, and brand positioning.
  • Experience with digital advertising, SEO, email marketing tools and website management.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and project management skills.
  • Passion for financial literacy, investments, and community building.
