Requirements for appointment:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
- Possess a current valid practicing certificate;
- Membership of a relevant professional body
Duties and responsibilities:-
- Coordinate site investigation, oversee Civil structural drawings, designs and specification of buildings, roads, foot bridges and river protection works;
- Design, prepare drawings and supervision of construction of civil and structural works for County projects.
- Maintenance of County classified and unclassified roads.
- Coordinate preparation of tender documents for Civil works, oversee Construction of buildings, foot bridges and river protection works;
- Analyse site weekly reports;
- Monitor and supervision of works in progress;
- Ensure specification and standards are adhered to during construction;
- Prepare cost estimates and schedule of materials for simple road constructions on labour contracts
- Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
