  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in public works, transport management, or infrastructure development, with at least 3 years in a senior management or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of public works policies, transport planning, and infrastructure management.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale infrastructure projects and budgets.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and relevant engineering tools.
  • Professional certification or membership in relevant institutions (e.g., ICE, ACI, CILT) is an advantage.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of public works projects, including roads, bridges, and other essential infrastructure.
  • Supervise the design, development, and maintenance of transport systems, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and people.
  • Provide strategic direction for public works and transport policies, ensuring alignment with national and local development goals.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful execution of projects.
  • Monitor the performance of public works programs and transport services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets for public works and transport initiatives, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare detailed reports, policy recommendations, and progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of engineers, planners, and other professionals within the public works and transport sectors.
