Assistant Catering Officer Job Alupe University
Hospitality Jobs, Alupe University Jobs. Responsible for supporting catering operations, coordinating food preparation and service, supervising catering staff, monitoring food quality and hygiene, managing catering supplies and equipment, maintaining food and service records, and supporting efficient provision of meals to students and staff. Requires a relevant Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Catering, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field, with relevant catering experience. The position is based in Busia and requires on-site work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management or a relevant field from recognized and accredited universities.
- Three (3) years of work experience as an Assistant Catering Officer Grade 9 or a comparable position.
- Computer literate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all catering services within the University.
- Prepare quarterly income and expenditure reports.
- Present regular reports on operational matters.
- Develop and review catering policies, procedures, and processes.
- Prepare annual budgets, procurement, and work plans.
- Organize health examinations for food handlers to ensure compliance.
- Maintain inventory control to ensure stock levels are adequate.
