Animal Health Assistant II/ Artificial Inseminator – Job

For Appointment to this grade Candidate must have: –

  • Certificate lasting not less than two (2) years in any of the following disciplines: – Animal Health or Animal Health and Production from a recognized institution;
  • Be registered and retained by the Kenya Veterinary Board;
  • Have a Certificate in Artificial Insemination;
  • Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and Possess a Driving Licence (Motorbike riding option) and be willing to ride for long hours.

Duties and responsibilities will entail: –

  • Mainly providing artificial insemination and animal breeding advice,
  • Carrying out simple treatment of animals;
  • Participating in disease search and reporting;
  • Demonstrating milking techniques and external parasite control techniques such as dipping, spraying and dusting;
  • Carrying out vaccination;
  • Undertaking closed castration, dehorning, de-worming, disbudding, docking, de-beaking and hoof trimming; and
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor

Terms of service: Permanent
Successful applicants are expected to get clearance from the following bodies.

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
For those with higher education certificates (degrees) from outside Kenya, a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission of University Education.
Each application should be accompanied by some detailed curriculum vitae, copies of relevant academic and professional certificates and transcripts, National Identity Card or Passport, testimonials, and other relevant supporting documents.
