  • Ensure daily cleanliness of the animal facility
  • Ensure Proper diet and health monitoring of laboratory animals
  • Ensure proper bio containment of research materials and animals in the facility
  • Ensure proper disposal of all experimental animals
  • Train students and staff on proper handling and use of laboratory animals
  • Develop standard operating procedures on care, use and management of laboratory animals
  • Maintain proper records of animal ages, gender and those under different experiments.

  • Minimum KCSE C – Minus or equivalent
  • Diploma in Animal Health and Production from an institution recognized by the Kenya Veterinary Board
  • Computer certificate
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Registration with the Kenya Veterinary Board
  • Knowledge of handling, restrained and transportation of laboratory animals
  • Knowledgeable in laws and guidelines on animal care and use
  • Minimum of two (2) years work experience in animal research laboratories.

TERMS OF SERVICE:

The terms of service include Basic salary, house allowance, commuting allowance and medical insurance/cover
