Accounts Assistant & Property Operations Coordinator Job Kenafric
Responsible for supporting accounting activities, processing invoices and payments, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, coordinating property operations, following up on maintenance and service issues, managing property records, and supporting tenants and service providers. Requires a relevant Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field. The position is based in Nairobi and requires on-site work.
The Accounts Assistant & Property Operations Coordinator – Kenafric Properties Limited, manages daily financial accounting, property maintenance operations, and tenant relations to ensure smooth operational efficiency and financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Administration – Invoicing & Revenue Collection – Manage invoicing, collections, arrears, reconciliations, and billing queries.
- Financial Management & Accounting – Maintain accounting records, process transactions, and support reporting and audits.
- Rent Collection & Lease Enforcement – Monitor rent collections, lease compliance, renewals, and defaults.
- Site Inspections & Preventative Maintenance – Conduct property inspections and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Emergency & Safety Preparedness – Monitor safety equipment, risks, and emergency preparedness.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination – Coordinate contractors, repairs, and outsourced property services.
- Tenant Relations & Communication – Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, requests, and communications.
- Administration, Record Keeping & Reporting – Maintain property records and prepare operational reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Property Management, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Part II or higher, or equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years of experience in property accounting, property management, or accounts administration.
- Proficiency in REMS (Real Estate Management System) and Microsoft Excel.
Key Skills
- Proficiency in financial administration, revenue collection, property accounting, and REMS software.
- Proven ability in lease enforcement, arrears management, and tenant dispute resolution.
- Experience in property maintenance, site inspections, cleanliness oversight, emergency preparedness, and CCTV system management.
- Vendor and contractor management experience, including SLA enforcement.
- Communication, problem-solving, and administrative reporting skills.
