Financial Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
  • Record journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Manage invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding payments.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow and bank transactions.

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and file statutory returns (e.g., VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, and corporate tax) in accordance with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) requirements.
  • Keep updated on changes in tax regulations.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements).
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Audit and Internal Controls:

  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Payroll Processing
  • Prepare payroll and ensure accurate deductions and statutory contributions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification — at least CPA Part II or fully qualified.
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a Kenyan organization.
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP).
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and statutory compliance.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Diploma/Degree in Tour Operations/Tourism & Hospitality Management/Customer Service/PR
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Tour operator/Hospitality industry.
  • Must be a fluent German-speaker or any other foreign language skills will also be considered.
  • Strong customer service and excellent inter-personal skills across all level
  • Excellent time management & problem-solving ability
  • Self-confidence, pleasant, outgoing nature, and good grooming
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Mombasa geographical routings, hotels, and restaurants.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work long, irregular hours
