Accountant Job Anti-FGM Board
Looking for an accounting job in Kenya? Anti-FGM Board is hiring an accountant to manage financial records, support budgeting processes, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The role is based in Nairobi and a CPA qualification is required.
Key Responsibilities
- maintaining primary records such as cashbooks and ledgers;
- posting of vouchers and other deductions;
- preparing vouchers and committal documents in accordance with laid down rules and regulations;
- filling statutory returns;
- preparing payment transactions;
- preparing bank transfers for payment; generating trial balance;
- verifying authorizations of payments as per the Board’s authorized sign preparing cash flow forecasts;
- ensuring proper filling of accountable documents;
- handling daily transactions for petty cash;
- data capturing and maintenance of primary records such as cashbook, ledgers, vote book, register;
- reconciling supplier statements as received;
- preparing simple management reports issuing of cheques and posting payments and receipts vouchers in the cash book.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting Option) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Passed Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or its equivalent; and
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
