Accounting Jobs, Karatina University Jobs. The Accountant I oversees financial records and accounting functions, requires a Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting, CPA III certification, and 4+ years experience as an Accountant II or equivalent. Full-time role in Nyeri.
Responsibilities
- Prepare University quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Prepare the finance department procurement plan.
- File statutory returns with the relevant authorities.
- Prepare the finance department risk matrix.
- Assist in preparation of the finance department work plan.
- Supervise operations in cash office, expenditure, student finance, and salaries sections.
- Prepare management reports to facilitate decision making.
- Conduct analysis of financial data within each section.
- Oversee Maintenance of Fixed assets register.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in finance or accounting field from a recognized institution.
- CPA III.
- At least four (4) years’ work experience as an Accountant II or comparable position.
- Membership registration with ICPAK or relevant professional body.
- Knowledge of Information Communication Technology.
