Plant Operator III Job Nakuru CPSB
Engineering Jobs, Nakuru CPSB Jobs. Responsible for operating and monitoring plant machinery and equipment, carrying out routine inspections, performing basic maintenance, identifying and reporting mechanical faults, maintaining operational records, ensuring safe handling of equipment, and following workplace health and safety procedures. Requires a relevant trade test certificate or technical qualification in plant operation, mechanical engineering, or a related field. The position is based in Nakuru and requires on-site work.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, candidate must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D plain or its equivalent;
- Passed Suitability Test for Plant Operators Grade III;
- Valid Plant Operator Certificate from NITA/NCA- Trade Test Grade II or I
- A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class(es) Class B, C, E, G an officer is required to drive;
- Be able to operate at least two (2) Plants of ‘difficult rating’ C (Grader or Excavator or Roller in road construction – Not Quarry Only) and perform pre-checks, greasing and minor maintenance;
- Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIBHT) any other recognized institution; and
- A valid certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
