Purpose: To glorify God through the provision of excellent education and clinical care.

  • Assist in course reviews/updates as required in HTC, Advanced HIV/TB training, TB in the era of HIV, and NHITC curriculums
  • Follow-up on co-opted mentors scheduled to teach on various courses
  • Deliver lectures and small group mentorship sessions for the trainees
  • Facilitate/attend CMEs to enhance clinical and professional development for self and hospital staff in the areas of chronic diseases
  • To supervise and mentor medical and Clinical Officer interns if assigned to do so, and advise on patient management
  • Participate in quality improvement measures on assigned clinical areas and quality improvement projects
  • Work with the clinical staff to provide health care needs to patients at the chronic care clinic
  • Ensure thorough assessment & documentation of history & physical findings for patient and referral for investigations and / or specialist opinion where necessary
  • Perform diagnostic & therapeutic procedures pertinent to the care of these patients
  • Assist in delivery of chronic diseases courses in the hospital
  • Participate in successful implementation of the division’s strategic goals and key strategic areas as directed by the Head of Department
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  • Registered with the Clinical Officers Council
  • Valid practising licence
  • NHITC/TB certificate is required
