How Interview Coaching Helps Qualified Candidates Finally Get Hired

Tracy walked into a panel interview with 6 recruiters with strict eyes, each holding a pen ready to write off her name from the list, at least that’s what she thought. She was shaking, but trying so hard to make it look natural. Smiling awkwardly and constantly played with her hair.

Ten minutes in, and she already had sweaty palms and a shaky voice. Three behavioural questions in, and she was already stammering and mixing her words.

“We will give you a call by the end of the week.” The lead recruiter said sharply. Tracy fumbled with her materials and walked out without looking back. She knew what those words meant in the industry; she knew very well she was not getting a call.

So, she gave us a call the next day. She was desperate to speak to an interview coach, and so she did. Mary, the coach, took the call and listened to her stories, the embarrassment she felt after each interview gone wrong, and the feeling she felt before the interview.

Most people frown upon interview coaches because they feel embarrassed to ask for help. Yet those same people have been memorizing interview answers for a long time; they sound robotic and overly rehearsed.

Do you usually walk into an interview room and suddenly feel like the air is thicker than it was a few seconds before? You feel like you are qualified for the role, but for some reason, you can’t explain yourself. Or you feel like you are out of words even when they ask a simple question? Then you need a coach, even if you don’t think so.

We don’t give you robotic, memorized responses. We help you understand what you really need and what recruiters need to hear.

Tracy was given a structure, and they covered things like how to sell her strengths without sounding proud or arrogant. They covered how to answer tough questions without being tense.

They did mock interviews, giving her immediate feedback about what she was doing wrong. She kept practicing kept on fumbling the tests, but then immediately implemented what she was learning.

She gave us another call a few weeks after her interviews, and she had gotten two offers from big companies. She was grateful to Mary for showing her how to stand out and finally land a role of her dreams.

Many qualified professionals in Kenya are missing out on great jobs, not because they are not good enough, but because they don’t know how to position themselves confidently in interviews.

That is the number one reason we are here. Our Interview coaching services are designed to change that.
