We sat down with Wilfred Kimathi, the Operations and HR Manager at Chabrin Agencies Ltd, to understand how they found their experience working with CSS when they trained their employees on customer experience and why in their experience, it is essential to empower employees.

1. What services have you sourced from CSS so far, and how would you describe the experience? 

So far, we have partnered with Corporate Staffing Services(CSS) to offer Customer Service Training to our teams. The interaction with CSS was constructive. The trainees enjoyed the training, and we have received a positive response. I would also describe them as professional in their interactions.

2. In these challenging economic times, most companies view training as an area that is not urgent or even a luxury. Why did you feel training your team on customer experience was crucial regardless?  

I have repeatedly seen that empowering our employees makes them more productive and more of an asset. The result is an investment. If you train your employees more, you equip them with skills that help them when going about their duties. These skills also prepare them to deal with challenges at the workplace.

On the other hand, the positive effect does not just stop on the employee but also impacts the organization. We expect to see employees practicing these skills with our clients to ensure the interactions are professional and see an improvement in how they handle clients.

As a result, we will deal with happier clientele which means more business and client retention.

3. Have you started to see any changes since CSS did the training?

Yes, we have seen employees trying to change, which is quite positive. We will eventually survey to get more information after some time, but so far, so good.

4. Would you recommend CSS to other companies

We definitely will. What stood out for me was their readiness to first understand the gaps before conducting the training so that they could customize it. That was a good thing, and I would recommend them.
