As the job market keeps changing , you should also strive to grow and change to fit its requirements. Complacency is a no-no if you are looking to grow your career to greater heights. How long have you been working? What achievements have you made?

If you cannot answer these questions, it is time to take a step back and re-evaluate your progress. This is the only way you can have a clear focus of where you are going.

Ways To Know Your Career Is On The Right Track

1. If you have job stability
What is job stability? It is when you can confidently say that you have worked in the same industry for more than a year. This shows consistency and resilience.

How long have you been at your current job? Has it been less than 6 months? Growth can only be quantifiable when you have been working for at least 6 months.

This is the only way you can confidently showcase achievements over time.
When you have been working for 6 months or more, it is easier to acquire some new skills and get new responsibilities and skills.

2. If you get a salary raise
A salary raise is usually a good sign. It shows that you have gone above and beyond the call of duty and proved to your employer that you are worth the investment.

You should be proud of yourself if your salary has been increased more than once, it means that you are progressing in the right direction.
However, if you have never received a raise, it is time to take a closer look at what could be going wrong in your career path.

3. If you get a promotion
It is always a welcome relief when you get promoted. Apart from this, it is a clear indication that you are moving up in the career ladder. This is because a promotion usually comes with more responsibilities and an abundance of learning opportunities.

Strive to be promoted at least once in your career life to ensure that you are growing. If you have been working for more than 3 years and your docket has never received an increase in responsibilities,you should start working harder and being more focused.

4. If other employers start seeking you out
This is the surest way to know that you are good at what you do is when you start receiving job offers from other employers. This is always the highlight of a career.

When it gets to this point, you know that your career growth is at its peak.
Strive to be better than you were yesterday;that is the basis of growth.
