Restaurant Accountant Job (40K)

Our client, a reputable restaurant based in Karen, is seeking to recruit a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Restaurant Accountant to join their team.

Location: Karen, Nairobi
Salary: KES 40,000 Gross

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Monitor restaurant sales, revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and petty cash records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Ensure accurate inventory and stock accounting records.
• Prepare statutory deductions and support tax compliance requirements.
• Assist in payroll preparation and financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• CPA Part IV qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in restaurant, hospitality, or food service accounting operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
