Nanyuki Cottage Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its clinical team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on nursing position in Kenya where you will deliver direct patient care, manage ward operations, and contribute to the hospital’s commitment to quality healthcare delivery. The role requires a qualified nursing professional with current registration and the ability to work in a busy hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients across assigned wards, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient progress
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical protocols and physician orders
• Monitor vital signs, fluid intake and output, and report significant changes to the clinical team
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring all nursing notes reflect current clinical status
• Assist with patient hygiene, comfort measures, and activities of daily living as needed
• Collaborate with doctors, other nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions
• Respond to patient calls and requests promptly, maintaining a safe ward environment

Requirements & Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 1–2 years of post-qualification nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, infection control, and patient safety protocols
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and Swahili
• Physical and mental fitness to perform nursing duties, including shift work and standing for extended periods
• Professional demeanor, reliability, and commitment to ethical nursing practice
