Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests by sample analysis
• Support patient diagnosis by provision of reliable sample results
• Ensure quality accuracy by following the correct Standard Operating procedures, quality controls and Safety Standards
• Correctly operate laboratory equipment by proper use and maintenance
• Clearly report and record test results

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science
• Registered by KMLTTB
• Valid practicing license
• At least 3 years of experience
• Willing to superintend

Key Competencies

• Technical Competence- Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment (e.g., hematology analyzers, chemistry analyzers, microscopes). Knowledge of laboratory procedures. Specimen collection, handling, processing, and storage. Understanding of biosafety and infection control protocols
• Communication Skills- Clear reporting of results to physicians and healthcare professionals Ability to explain procedures to patients when involved in specimen collection
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills- Ability to interpret laboratory test results accurately. Attention to detail to avoid diagnostic errors
• Ethical & Professional Conduct- Maintaining patient confidentiality. Adhering to professional codes of ethics
