To drive bulk and repeat sales of house paints by actively sourcing, managing, and retaining building contractors, foremen, and small-to-medium developers,
while growing long-term contractor loyalty and maintaining strong credit discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard new building contractors and developers for bulk paint supply
  • Conduct daily site visits to recommend appropriate paint systems (interior/exterior)
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, orders, and collections
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, site foremen, engineers, and dealers
  • Grow repeat purchases through reliable service, technical advice, and follow-ups
  • Achieve monthly sales targets while managing credit clients responsibly
  • Diploma or Certificate in Building Construction, Sales & Marketing
  • Quantity Surveying qualification is an added advantage
  • 2-4 years’ experience selling paints, hardware, building materials, or construction supplies

Technical Knowledge (Must-Have)

  • Interior vs exterior paint systems
  • Primers, sealers, undercoats, and topcoats
  • Coverage rates and paint quantity estimation
  • Paint durability (weather, moisture, UV exposure)
  • Common construction site challenges (dust, moisture, timelines)

Client & Market Experience

  • Proven experience working with contractors, foremen, site engineers, and developers
  • Experience engaging paint or building material dealers
  • Existing contractor network in Thika, Ruiru,Kiambu or Nairobi is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to provide on-site technical paint recommendations
  • High follow-up discipline on quotations and collections
  • Comfortable working in active construction site environments
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
