Assistant Engineer Water Provision Job Kisumu CPSB

This is an entry and training grade for degree holders. An officer at this level will be deployed at the Sub-County.

Responsibilities

• Implementing Water and Sanitation plans, regulations and guidelines; 
• Carrying out research activities including feasibility studies in water and sanitation; (iii) Planning and designing water supply and sewerage projects and infrastructure; 
• Ensuring professional standards and undertaking quality control during construction of water supply and sewerage infrastructure; 
• Supervising construction and maintenance of water, sanitation and sewerage works and related activities; 
• Liaising with other institutions implementation projects related to water and sanitation within the County; 
• Implementing projects and programs as per the County Integrated Development Plan and other county planning frameworks; 
• Communicating Water and Sanitation information within the County; 
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual water and sanitation reports; and 
• Supervising, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on programs and projects on water and sanitation sector; 

Requirements

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have; 

• Kenyan Citizenship 
• Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Water Supply Technology; Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution: 
• Registration with Engineers Board of Kenya; 
• Served in the grade of Superintendent Water for a minimum period of three (3) years (v) Knowledge in designing software (AUTOCAD; Water CAD) 
• Knowledge of relevant legislation 
• Proficiency in Computer Applications, 
• Knowledge of professional engineering standards
