Plexus Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Intern to support the Finance team in day-to-day accounting operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and general accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Support bank and ledger reconciliations
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist in invoice preparation, posting, and filing
- Support monthly closing processes and reporting
- Participate in stock/inventory reconciliation (if applicable)
- Support audit preparation by organizing documentation
- Perform data entry and verification in accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Assist with tax compliance support tasks (VAT, withholding tax, etc.)
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Finance team
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- CPA (Part I or II) is an added advantage
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong willingness to learn and take initiative
